For this installment of Tasty Tuesday we have the New Orleans sun child Sol, a poet, emcee, artist and graphic designer. What is so appealing about “Down” (from her upcoming LP “De La Sol”) is its passion and authenticity– you can recognize it from the opening line. “Down” will resonate with you after the music ends because Sol manages to infuse the song with the abrasive nature of life through a personal approach and yet manages to show that there is reason to hope, to create, and to keep moving upwards.
