Hosted by Tafisha “Taffy” Edwards, The Sugar Shack radio show airs every Monday from 10pm until Midnight on WMUC Radio at the University of Maryland, College Park. Since its conception at WMUC in Summer 2009, the show has strived to create and develop connections with the Washington, DC metropolitan area by showcasing local and/or rising talent through performances and interviews. Over time The Sugar Shack has expanded its coverage to include independent and rising talent from all over the country and beyond. Past guests of the show include Wiz Khalifa, Daddy Lion, XO, Phil Ade, Logic, DTMD, Ashton Travis, Urban Cartel, Ike Da Kid and Dee-1.

The Sugar Shack does not only showcase artists but also fosters discussions on subjects ranging from politics and race relations to love and sex. From hip-hop, R&B, pop, neo-soul and everything in between that you won’t find on that FM dial, The Sugar Shack is always satisfying.
